You are a writer, and Prague is awakening.
In January 1968, after twenty years of Communist rule, censorship began to loosen in Czechoslovakia. The country welcomed a new spring as Communist Party leader Alexander Dubček announced a program of reform he called “socialism with a human face.”
You are writers for Dialog, an influential literary magazine, pushing the boundaries of what can finally be published. But every article still carries a risk, and it is becoming more critical than ever to tell friend from foe.
Odeum (an Ancient Greek term for a small theatre) seats six players around a table and gives each of them a character to inhabit. Every character has their own desires, secrets, and choices to make. Every character is a protagonist with the power to move the story forward.
Actors perform and guide you through this immersive journey. You will talk, befriend, scheme, and make choices, all while living inside your character’s world.

How the game works
You read your character booklet chapter by chapter alongside the table. Between chapters, you take part in structured interactions and watch short theatre scenes performed by actors.

It's not about acting
No pressure to perform. You're simply here to understand your character's motivations and make the choices they would.

A full evening, 6–11 PM
Four hours of game, plus an hour of setup and debrief. Light snacks and refreshments provided — please come after dinner!

Common Questions
Do I need to sign up with a partner?
No need! While we value partners signing up together so they can enjoy the story as a pair, the game is also designed for strangers to meet and connect through a shared story.
What is your cancellation policy?
We completely understand that things come up. However, the game requires all six players, so please let us know as soon as possible if you can no longer attend. Five days before the game, we will send a final confirmation email to double-check that everyone is still available.

The Writer & Host
The name, Clytze, is a variation of Clytie, a water nymph in Greek mythology who fell in love with Apollo and was transformed into a sunflower. Clytze chose this name when she was fourteen, not realizing that her last name would one day be anglicized as Sun.
